I just joined here, and I'm not sure what to say. I'm a Roman Catholic who also practices Hoodoo/rootworking craft, so technically, I'm not pagan. However, I view the Virgin Mary as sort-of an avatar of the Goddess, the feminine nature of God, and I'm certain someone would say that that belief would make me pagan. I don't really care to debate this sort of thing; I believe what seems to feel right in my heart, and that's enough for me.
Right now I live in Oklahoma City, which is not the best place to be, for lack of a better word, "witchy". The only other person I know who is... "witchy"... is my friend Megan. Basically, I'm moving to Denver in December, and I'm really hoping to find friends there who practice the craft, any craft. It'd be nice to be a little less solitary.
Cuando todo te parezca gris y no encuentres con quien hablar, solo te encuentres en un mundo irreal, donde todo es nada más que triste y solo. No te dejes vencer.
Raw is coming up very soon so I hope we ahve another good show. The shows have been pretty decent so let's keep it going. Can you have an explosive 10 person tag? Good way to shake things up a bit. Good luck WWE.
'tis my hope that you've been protected with safety in your travels.
Faith, this lass is beyond tired and knows your interest of happenings in the land... this is a brief missive to let you know that information and photos will be forthcoming.
I just got back from watching the hilarious movie Religulous with Bill Maher. He goes around the world poking fun at the various religions he encounters, from the Trucker Chruch to the Canabis Ministries in Amsterdam ( Flaming Hair lolz ). He points out the absurdness of their beliefs and their blind faith to them with no evidence what so ever. This got me thinking about my beliefs and how they may sound to someone not familar with my religion. Like you have to admit that believing that the universe as we know it was created by a Goddess that made love to her own reflection that later became the God and her consort does sound a bit crazy. Or what about how the God/dess having a thousand names such as Kali, Diana, or Inanna, and Odin, Pan, Krishna to an outsider it may seem like we worship a God/dess with a Multiply Personality disorder. Can anyone truely say they KNOW their is a God/dess? Or that they KNOW there is a Summerlands to which we go after our passing? No, we can only guess the answers to the Great Mysteries of our world through mere glimpses of the Divine, and mostly through secound- hand accounts. All paths and religions are mere attemps at expalining the Divine, and as Humans we are naturaly prone to make mistakes. And that is why to me all religions are hilarious, it's like watching a child try to figure out where the people in the T.V. go when it shuts off. And don't get me started about all the people who try to show how much they love God and how much they love they back. Who doesn't crack up when you see a Televanglist babeling away like a baby while "healing the sick" via bonking people on the head. Now look at some of the things we do in our religions like raising a cone of power, or chanting an incantation in a sing-song voice. It's all quite amusing when you truely look at it. Because in the end were just a bunch of children staring at a T.v. asking ourselfs "Where do all the people go when it shuts off??"
I don't normally go along with conspiracy theories, BUT
Well its happening Gordon Brown will be nationalising some of the big banks. The Telegraph reports that the French see him as reborn as he seems comfortable dealing with and leading Europe through this crisis, I wonder, is it too comfortable? (http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/newstopics/politics/labour/3184665/Analysis-Gordon-Brown-The-Raised-Magician.html)
I have always felt that Nu-Labour had a strange feel about them. They were almost falling over themselves to be seen as the good guys after the devastating 18 years of Tory control, yet within a very short time, we were plunged into a war on a web of deceit, given a Prime Minister we didn't vote for, and denied a vote on the Treaty of Lisbon, even though it was promised as part of an election campaign, because according to Nu-Labour spin it was essentially different even though many of the leaders of Europe were admitting that there was no change apart from thge name. Then we had Tony Blair being seen mixing it with the Bilderbergs, coincidence? You work it out.
I think that this is a bold and decisive move, but I also wonder yet again if the global crisis was engineered, its not beyond reasonable doubt and look what the prize was, almost total control of the countries banking system, how best to control the populous? They will have their own men on the boards, will there be a list that tells them not to lend to various people who do not toe the line? Again this is not beyond the realms of possibility, I for one have never trusted Gordon Brown or the Nu-Labour party as they are the masters of spin and deceit all I can say is beware.
ALL IN A DAY'S WORK, THEN HE CAN GO HOME AND KISS HIS WIFE...
TAMEKA FOSTER, WIFE AND MOTHER OF USHER'S CHILD..
Tameka Foster comments on Usher’s latest video TRADING PLACES
A risque portrayal of seductive role reversal, the video
shows the 29-year-old singer in compromising positions with a lithe,
lightly dressed video vixen who unabashedly woman-handles a boxer-clad
Usher. Although little is left to the imagination, Foster Raymond, who is
expecting the couple’s second child, stands by her man. “My husband is
a consummate artist and entertainer,” Foster, 37, told ESSENCE.com. “This
video is strictly entertainment and was made for his fans. I am clear
that he is a sexy man and looks amazing in this clip. I support my
husband in his endeavors.” It’s been alleged that the video had to undergo several edits before
being deemed appropriate for television. Most can’t recall Usher ever
appearing so sexually aggressive on-screen during his bachelor days.
Many blogs have hand-slapped Usher for his overt display of affection
and question whether a married father and founder of a nonprofit youth
foundation should conduct himself a bit more conservatively.
Ironically, some of these same naysayers crucified him for choosing to
be an honorable family man by marrying the mother of his child, whom
he’s repeatedly defended. Perhaps Usher has decided to remind the masses of his sex-symbol status
by force-feeding the fantasies of his female fans. Whatever the reason,
the public court has apparently ruled that one of ATL’s finest is
damned if he does take a stand as a family man, and damned if he
doesn’t.
What they should have done was have Usher do this same video with
Tameka (instead of a “lithe, lightly dressed video vixen”) wearing the
same outfit in the photo above. Now that would have been pure comedy.
This week has been a week of firsts. I started a blog over at blogspot, and today I made my first digital scrapbook layout. Why have I decided to step out of my comfort zone even further than I already have? After I decided to sell my tutus I also made the decision to really commit to it, and not just give it "an attempt". I decided to ask my cousin (who's opinion I value greatly because she's not a sister or mom who is going to encourage me no matter what--she's going to give it to me straight) and she thought they were great but if I really wanted exposure that I should.... she gave me a list of things she thought I should do to help get the word out there and give my product exposure online. Yep, her first one was to start a blog and then get really involved in a blogging community. That is a big step for me out of my comfort zone! Don't get me wrong. I'm a people person, and I'm an online person, but I'm also a shy person who doesn't like to be pushy and don't really think that anybody has any real interest in what I have to say (or blog about). None the less, I stepped out of my comfy shelter and did it. That's what brings me to my second first. Digital scrap. So looking at different websites and blogs this week the ones that I like the best have all been done using digital scrapbook kits. I love them! They are original and really show off the person's style. I have been putting off getting to know digital scrapping for a long time because I love paper shopping and I love my big chunky, sensory filled, books. Why would I want to go digital? Now I know why. Tonight I made my very first digital scrapbook page. It's very basic but I think it's okay. I'm still completely overwhelmed at the prospect and all the things that go into it, but I think I'm gonna get the hang of it, and someday soon my blog and website will get a really cool facelift that will definately reflect me and hopefully look really nice too. You can see my first attempt in my gallery!
I also love jeff Hardy ...HE IS SO HOT AND HOT AND GORGEOUS AND SEXY AND AWESOME AND HOOT AND HE IS THE BEST MAN! he is my future hubby and my best friends future hubby as well! i love that gorgeous smexii beast! ♥
On this day in 1992 Money Inc. (Ted Dibiase & I.R.S.) defeated the Natural Disasters for the WWE Tag Team Titles.
16 years later, Ted DiBiase Jr is one half of the World Tag Team Champions, and he's proven to be many things, but Priceless isn't one of them.
Instead of using what little ability he has (Cause his brother Mike DiBiase is 10 times better) to make something of himself, Ted Jr has proven to me the latest in a series of multi-generation duds. He joins the list of Erik Watts, David Flair, Teddy Hart, Greg Gagne and Sam Houstan, as flat out, total duds!
Sucks that Cody Rhodes is stuck carrying him around.
Today - life just happened. I went to HOT this morning to handle a few things when I received an email from a friend:
"If any of you guys care, I'll be at this bar watching football..."
It was a Jets bar. Downtown. An unlikely little bar that was amazing. A great hang, a great time. It was called 51st State. Google search Jets Football Bar Washington DC and you'll find it.
And so, I came home. Changed. And headed downtown. Got parking right on Pennsylvania Ave -- right outside of Georgetown -- and headed into the bar. There I found my friend who had made a couple of new unlikely friends who happened to have just been looking for a place to watch the Jets play some football...
... and so it was that an unlikely journey for four different people - from four different walks of life - converged. And the result was pretty amazing. The company was perfect. The conversation was endless. The fun was contagious....
And the Jets won the game.
And we kept hanging. The conversation became more personal, and the beginning of new friendships was amazing.
Funny how this stuff happens when you don't try to force it.
Life happens when you least expect it.
What began in DC moved to Baileys at Ballston Commons. More football. Shuffleboard. Another new friend and what started as an amazing day ended as an unreal night... with new friends. New ideas. New ways of looking at things...
... and a new respect for math teachers.
Really. Math teachers. Yes. High School, Middle School... math teachers.
And by the way, Tommy Chuck, my friend, they were women. Trust me.
Thursday night last week, a Kid I know came to town on business. A friend of mine and I had dinn
